Nature Play Group

The Nature Play Group at West Ridge Nature Preserve meets Tuesday mornings (beginning in mid-September) in the preserve's Nature Play Space. It begins at 10 am with free play and exploration and around 10:45 we gather for songs, a seasonal puppet play and a picnic. Group ends at 11:30.

The group is meet-up style for parents/caregivers and their child(ren), ages birth to 5 years; join us one time, or every week. Please let us know when you plan to attend by using the RSVP form on this page. We ask that you do your best to let us know by the Monday evening before the next day's group.

A suggested donation of $10/family is appreciated and helps cover costs of food, crafts, supplies, and the teachers' efforts.

Early childhood teachers, Karen Brennan and Emily Klein host the group, in hopes of offering a time and place for children in the city to play in nature and experience the changing seasons. The group is also a place for adults to connect, enjoy a cup of tea, and share in the journey of parenting. Please email with any questions!

Out of an abundance of caution, we've decided not to gather this week (3/17) due to the uncertainty and new developments with covid-19.

Check back here and watch for emails with updates about group meetings in the weeks to come.

Take good care!
